A Story of More Woo
Precisely where did I find you?
Pious heart,
star crossed countries, The Capulet Ball,
awake, asleep, or alone.
I am trying to find where you live,
in me, as I am still breathing and
remembering the lifetimes, our history,
the love stories, the feuds, and the solemn ends.
I have lived with you, and danced with you.
I feel the times I have died with you;
the times I have died for you.
The sweetness of your cry in my arms;
the tenderness of your touch on my skin.
O palm to palm, heat to distances cools
is where I walk with you
in daylight and in nights storms.
I want to be cremated in these shoes,
you said to me, I laughed knowingly.
I found you
enmeshed in the old lines of a
Shakespearean story, in the tears
of pain's partner, in the laughter of
of your happiness, in the quiet of a letter.
I will die with you, you wearing those red shoes,
like Romeo's last breaths
are spoken to a living Juliet.
“Eyes, look your last!
Arms, take your last embrace!
And lips, o you the doors of breath,
seal with a righteous kiss
a dateless bargain to engrossing death!”
